Potash Derived from Molasses (PDM) / Bio Potash Sustainable. Organic. High-Potassium Fertilizer for Modern Agriculture.
Potash Derived from Molasses (PDM), also known as Bio Potash, is a natural potassium-rich fertilizer produced from sugar and ethanol industry byproducts. With a typical potassium content of 14.5%–23% K₂O, it serves as an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to conventional Muriate of Potash (MOP). PDM enhances crop yield, improves plant resilience, and builds long-term soil fertility, making it an essential input for sustainable agriculture.
Product Description
Source Derived from:
• Spent wash ash generated during molasses-based ethanol processing, or
• Potassium-rich residues from molasses fermentation and crystallization.
This process transforms agro-industrial waste into a high-value nutrient source, supporting circular economy principles.
Composition
PDM primarily contains:
• Potassium Carbonate / Potassium Chloride (organic-origin potassium compounds)
• Often fortified with bentonite or Potash Mobilizing Bacteria (KMB) to enhance nutrient uptake and soil health.
Potassium Content
• Standard grade: 14.5% K₂O
• High-grade formulations: Up to 23% K₂O or more
Available Forms
• Powder
• Granulated
• Liquid Bio-Potash
These formats support different application preferences across farming systems.
Benefits
Highly Water-Soluble & Plant-Available
Rapid dissolution ensures efficient nutrient uptake, even in challenging soil conditions.
Enhances Crop Performance
• Strengthens plant growth and root development
• Increases disease resistance
• Improves drought and stress tolerance
Improves Fruit & Flower Quality
Promotes strong flowering, fruit set, and reduces premature dropping.
Supports Organic & Sustainable Farming Provides a chlorine-safe potassium source that reduces dependence on imported potash and improves soil microbiology when blended with bio-enhancers.
